Wii Habilitation - At McDaniel Chiropractic Center!

Nintendo Wii Wii-Habilitation

We Have Wii-Hab!

It's the hottest trend in, and wii have it! Wii-hab, which uses the video gaming system Wii by Nintendo, allows rehab patients to move, groove, stretch and heal while participating in virtual activities like games, sports, even dancing.

Why Video Games?

Injury rehabilitation is often a long and difficult process. Standard injury rehabilitation exercises are designed to regain a patient's strength and range of motion to pre-injury levels.

Unfortunately, the strenuous physical and mental demands combined with the tedious and repetitive prescribed exercises can wear away at a patient's motivation and compromise compliance. The entertainment component of Wii-based injury rehabilitation vastly improves patient compliance which is a key factor in ensuring program success.
