Meet the Staff

Ashley Geggis

Originally, Ashley had planned on studying interior design at Wentworth College; but a kick-boxing class changed her career path. She has always had an interest in exercise and health, but did not learn about Exercise Science as a major until after graduation from high school. Ashley went on to major in Exercises Science with a focus on strength and conditioning (minored in Fitness and Health) and graduated from Castleton State College in May of 2011. In addition to her studies during her four years at Castleton, she worked as a personal care attendant and life guard.

Ashley now works closely with the doctors to create customized exercise programs for patients. Sessions are customized to the specific needs of each patient, be it ergonomics, general conditioning or recovering from an injury. Ashley's positive can-do attitude is a boost to anyone learning how to improve their physical condition.

Aleta Furman

Aleta moved from California to Vermont when she was 12 years old. It did not take her long to fall in love with the beautiful scenery that New England has to offer. After graduating high school she completed a few semesters of College; however she was still unsure of where she wanted her career path to take her. Before long, she found herself leading a very busy life managing a local deli for the next 11 years. After an extensive period of serving Middlebury in the restuarant industry, she felt it was time for a change and  wanted to use the math skills she developed back in her college days. Aleta now works as the Billing Specialist at McDaniel Chiropractic Center, where her math and customer service skills are used daily. Aleata is available Monday through Friday to answer specific questions you may have. She is also a proud mother of a handsome young boy and the fiancé of an active duty Sergeant of the US Army.

Amanda Giard

Amanda developed much of her organizaitonal and customer service skills while working for the Town of Middlebury in the Rec. Department and at Fire and Ice. She worked her way up from busser to bar tender at the restaurant and spent two years helping to organize the town summer camp programs. Amanda joins McDaniel    Chiropractic Center where she is able to put those skills to work. Her keen interest in fitness and health is evident. During high school she played field hockey and lacrosse; where she was captain of the field hockey team. Amanda continues to enjoy running and has recently started to study Cross Fit and Paleo Style exercising along with advancing her knowledge of nutrition and health. During her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with family and working on her house.
