“In 1975 my parents dragged me kicking and screaming from my
native home of St. Petersburg,
Florida where my fondest memories
were playing in the early morning surf of St. Pete Beach. Vermont
quickly became my home though as I fell in love with the changing seasons. After college, where I majored in art, I
married and had a family of three beautiful daughters. Through the years I found myself navigating
in many different directions and found a niche in elementary education. After 11 years in education as an
instructional assistant, summer school instructor and substitute teacher I made
the career change into office practices. Some of my accomplishments include
helping to raise three lovely young women, enjoying the miracle of my first
granddaughter, playing women’s pick-up ice hockey for the first time at the
mature age of 46 years old, (I don’t play any more!), hiking most of the major
mountains in Vermont and changing my career path. My mantra: the secret to happiness is… “Having
someone to love, something to do and something to hope for.”
